It was a crazy idea to take the CAE exam after 30 years of not learning any English. But why not, others start training for marathons at the age of fifty! So I prepared for the exam and I passed, even better than expected. I am sure that I owe the extra points for the good result to Alpha College, where I spent two weeks last October.
The school was a positive surprise: small classes, exellent teachers, very friendly staff - they really care about their students!
I had a great time, a lot of fun and I learnt a lot. And Dublin certainly is a good place to spend time, even if you don`t like the black stuff they drink. Peolpe are open, friendly and helpful and always a bit surprised when students choose to come to Dublin instead of the much fancier and warmer places there are for learning English. You`ll find out why it`s worth going there!
