PASE/QLS/Alpha College joint project Print E-mail

PASE is the promoting organisation for a Leonardo da Vinci programme which is currently being developed in conjunction with its partners, QLS, Greece; Alpha College, Dublin and the Poznan University of Technology.

The project comes under the Community Vocational Training Action Programme and has as its target group people from vocational and small business sectors, interested in raising their qualifications and/or seeking a career on the EU market. The programme is primarily aimed at graduates from medical, financial and law schools/courses; all those who need to learn or improve their specialised & business language skills and who wish to use the language appropriately and effectively in various business and socio-cultural contexts.

The work involves developing materials in the areas of Financial English, Legal English and Medical English. An initial Needs Analysis questionnaire determined the specific aspects of these areas which would be covered. PASE is developing the Legal English materials; QLS is developing the Medical English material; Alpha College is developing the Financial English material and the Poznan University of Technology is responsible for the technical aspects of the project.

The completion date for this project is 31st December 2007. The materials will be available soon after this date.
