Student support & monitoring

All students are interviewed on their first day, before the end of the first week and again at least once every four weeks (for those on longer courses) by a senior member of our Academic Team to ensure that there are no problems with either their academic programme or their accommodation.

Weekly meetings take place between teachers and the Academic Manager at which students progress is evaluated and discussed and appropriate action agreed.

Our Academic Support Team is available from 14.15 to 17.00, Monday to Friday to ensure that advice is available regarding after-class study or specific language-learning problems.

Elisabetta, 32, an Italian student in political science, came to Alpha College of English on a funding programme from her region in Italy.
She attended a three week English Course at Alpha College before starting an eleven week work experience in Dublin.
With her Masters in European Affairs and the great help of our Corporate Programmes Manager Jean-Paul, Elisabetta got a very interesting work experience at the civil organisation: Irish Alliance for Europe.
